The Coordinating Centre for Clinical trials (KKS) of the Philipps-University of Marburg was funded in 2000 from the german research council. The major tasks of the KKS are planning, conducting and analysing clinical trials from Phase I to Phase IV. The KKS has 30 employees experienced in biometry, datamanagement, monitoring and projectmanagement. The KKS has performed more than 40 cancer trials in the past 10 years. Especially the FIRMACT trial together with the University of Wuerzburg.
